LGBTQ horror movies have had an incredibly powerful, dynamic, and fruitful relationship dating as far back as the earliest entries in the genre in the 1920s. These individuals deserved to be showcased but seemingly never were, except surprisingly, in horror. For decades, the LGBTQ+ community has been relegated to side characters, jokes, or simply non-existent in the cinema-sphere and the lack of representation was deafening.
